RNF – What passes for news nowadays is about as balanced, nuanced and authentic as a WWE grudge match. -ELW

And I may have just insulted the WWE. That organization is transparent enough to put the word entertainment in their name. Regardless of stripe programming peppered with linguistic flair to suit the taste of a predetermined demographic masquerades as intellectual discourse served up to gather as many eyes as possible. Those eyes, in turn, are then sold to the highest bidder. “More eyes, more money!”, the many tendriled media beast bellows. Earnest debates seeking mutual truth infused compromise are a distant consideration if considered at all. They mean us no harm. Everyone has bills to pay. Those studio lights, satellites, and long nights of pundit fights aren’t going to just pay for themselves you know. Must feed baby. Capitalism at it’s finest. “It’s not personal, Sonny. It’s strictly business.” (Michael Corleone)
